SOFTBALL DIVISIONS

Majors Division

Girls’ Major softball teams may be formed across several towns within the TRLL boundaries. Typically, there is a team from the Eagle Valley, one from Glenwood Springs, and one from Aspen/Basalt/Carbondale. Team locations and size may vary depending on registration numbers. Major rosters are comprised of 10 to 15 players ages 9 to 12. Major teams play approximately 10 to 15 games. Games are played within TRLL boundaries [Eagle, Gypsum, Glenwood Springs], but teams often travel as far as Grand Junction or the front range to find appropriate competition.

Field Size: 60 foot bases/40 foot pitcher’s mound

Juniors Division

Girls’ Junior softball teams are formed across several towns within the TRLL boundaries. Typically, there is a team from the Eagle Valley, one from Glenwood Springs, and one from Aspen/Basalt/Carbondale. Team location and size may vary depending on registration numbers. Junior rosters are comprised of approximately 10 to 15 players. Junior teams play approximately 15 to 20 games. Juniors play games within TRLL boundaries [Eagle, Gypsum, Glenwood Springs], but also travel as far as Grand Junction and the front range to find good competition. 

Target Ages: 12 to 15

Player Pitch/Full Softball Rules

Field Size: 60 foot bases/40 pitcher’s mound
